We had a very unpleasant experience at Capital Subaru in Greensboro. Stuck with a car that was not the one we test drove and agreed to. Salesperson messed up the paperwork that we were not informed of until we received the paperwork in the mail 3 weeks later. I bought a new 2019 Outback last year. At the end of August the radio messed up (extremely loud static and wouldn’t come on sometimes). They said they had to replace the amp and it should be there the following Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. Never heard anything from them. If Capital Subaru doubled their labor costs on our vehicle, how many others have they ripped off over the last few years? We had our 2013 Subaru Legacy towed to Capital Subaru of Greensboro with a transmission related code. The Service Advisor told me the diagnosis would not be charged if we did the work, which ended up not being true. I recently purchased a used Subaru Crosstrek. The auto is incredible. Great feel, nice features, good gas mileage, etc. Subaru makes great cars. What's not to love? I asked for an overall check, the 100 point inspection, 3 times and it never happened. I didnt want trouble so I did not push it and left without it being done. I dont live in Greensboro so to push the matter would have been very inconvenient to me. I'm satisfied with how fast the other work on my car got done. When I pulled in a felt the girls who checked me in and out were not in good mood and it made me even more hesitant to speak up.

Before the appointment even happened, we got a text message trying to sell us a new car. "The dealer is very interested in your trade-in!" No thank you - I just want an oil change, not a sales pitch. So I took the car in, and was informed it would be close to 2 hours and there is no shuttle service. So as I walk past 15 other employees (and no customers), I order an Uber to take me home. I was pleasantly surprised at the quick turnaround. Everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly. It’s quite a bit further than my previous Subaru dealership but worth the drive.

Ty helped me. He was exceptional. He told me my options about service from AAA or the dealership. He checked the problem with the fob’s key not opening the car door (it’s the lock). He took the extra step to check a potential battery warranty with my dealership back in the DC area. Again, Ty was exceptional. He’s the best service dept person I’ve ever dealt with.

Sure the dealership needs some cosmetic updating, but the people are very nice and good to work with. I had a recall and an inspection. Scheduling, dropping off, notification of completion and pick-up were all hassle free. Plus, Amanda showed me how to change the clock, not an easy thing on the Outback, even after reading the manual. I am VERY HAPPY with Capital and I bought the car from Flow, who I was not happy with. While in Winston-Salem in a family medical emergency from Metro Atlanta, we had a ā€œCheck Engineā€ light illuminate in our 2013 Subaru Outback.. The Winston-Salem Subaru Dealer offered to let us park our car in their lot until they could check it out in 7 -10 days. Capital Subaru immediately offered to diagnose our problem. I asked about another concern about my brake he had the technician check that out & complete the recall brake light & do a courtesy multipoint inspection all while I waited in customer lounge. The service team staff is always nice and waiting room is fine. I had my 10 year old son w/ me. He enjoyed the free Wi-Fi. However, Capital is expensive, the same as any other dealership. You are likely to get the same service for half the price at your typical lube place. With that being said, I come from Burlington every 6 months to get my oil changed there. Purchased a new car at Capital Hyundai about a week ago. There are some things that are never fun or easy when trying to get the best deal such as spending half a day at the dealership and the waiting for the process to be completed. But the results are what counts, I had a great salesman that found me the vehicle I wanted with the options I wanted. I am still waiting to have leather installed but i will definitely buy from Capital again. Hopefully in time the process will be simplified and faster.

+ reset electric passenger door opener on the spot + service fast, efficient, polite - did not return steering wheel to original position presumably after test drive. I had to adjust it back. -performed recall on software programming regarding fuel error reading, but did not return multi-information display to where I had it set, namely the digital MPH display. I noticed this the next day, read my manual, and adjusted it myself. Point: settings should be returned to original positions after work is completed.

I was pleased with the amount of time it took to get my car back. My opinion has improved since my last visit. There is an issue with my steering feeling choppy and a slight rumble at low rpm while the a/c is running that David said he would have checked out on 5/1/19.

When I came for the last oil change before 30,000 miles I was told that my air filters were "a little dirty." I stated to have them changed as it was included in my 30,000 mile coverage. I took 6 month to get a leak fixed through my Eye Sight unit. Luckily it was still under warranty. More cars should be available as loaners so work can get done. Don't tie the service managers hand by not having this service.

With the end of my lease of a 2016 Subaru Outback approaching, I was interested in possibly leasing a 2019 Outback. Long story short, I did! I considered other vehicles but came back to Capital Subaru. I had a good experience working with Alvin on both vehicles. I never felt pressured to make a decision. This was my 2nd purchase from this location, previous was from Bob Dunn Hyundai. In spite of phone commitment to purchase in late morning, little was ready when we arrived. After 45 minutes only a couple of minor papers were completed. Still had to wait 20 minutes after things were turned over to finance manager to be called to his office.
